Impsport have a new special offer that includes Avanti club clothing.  If you place an order that totals more than £100, they will give a £15 discount.   This offer is valid until 10th February - so might be a good idea to  think about summer riding lit.  Just use promo code IMPJAN15 when you place your order.

Winter Turbo Training

After a successful 2011 season riding with GS Avanti and with those long sunny evenings now adistant memory, it's time to start preparing for an Olympic 2012. To help you through these dark times GS Avanti have secured the use of Westcombe Park RugbyClub on Wednesday evenings for turbo training. To ensure your focus stays on turbo training GSAvanti have arranged for Jimmy George of VO2 maximum to provide a structured workout to the sessions. He will also be there in person every other Wednesday.

Further details will be posted to the site very shortly, but this course (funded by the club) is aimed at all members who want to develop their fitness over the winter, and is tailored accordingly.

GS Avanti Cycling Club: Come and Join!

“Fun and friendship through cycling” is our mission. Whatever your cycling passion, GS Avanti can help with a range of benefits, whether it be just riding for fun, racing, time trialing, weekend club runs, or touring. Our membership contains a wide variety of people wanting more from their cycling, from beginner to competitive level. We’re based in Bromley, Kent, but draw riders from across SE London, Surrey and Sussex.
We have busy schedule of club runs, taking place on Weekends, plus Wednesday and Friday rides as well. Just take a look at our Club Runs section and contact one of the Avanti team.

We are also very active on the Time Trial and Race fronts. Together with 7Oaks Triathlon Club and Sydenham Wheelers CC we run up to 20 Time Trials each season, so come along and have a crack. We have a growing group of racers who we support by funding licences.

From Autumn onwards we run a weekly, indoor, turbo session managed by a professional exercise specialist. All club members are encouraged to attend.

But it's not just about the bike! You'll also find that GS Avanti is one of the friendliest most welcoming clubs around. We have plenty of social events and also have a weekly gathering during the winter to do some indoor training.....or just to mingle and have a chat.

If you'd like to become a GS Avanti member, please click here. In addition, you can find contact details for individual committee members on the contacts page.

G2 Sunday 29th January

Good turn out we head out via the Pilgrims way and West Malling, short stop at the Friary then it was eye balls out back to the Meadway Bridge.  After Cuxton I tailed off the back and when Dave decided to take them up into Cobham I thought a short cut was in order and continued on to Luddesdown and Henley Street. At Sole Street I waited expecting the main group, but they had either gone past all ready or Dave had taken them on a longer detour. By now I had, had enough I bashed home the shortest…See More
